UOEP Culture overview

The union of exstatic people has a unique culture. As it is based around an
idea of happiness by choice, the centre of its culture is about being happy. Wabbits and Daisies are cherished and sometimes even worshiped
by some citizens, as they bring joy. Lemons are also loved, especially in
happyland, although there is little apparent reason for this.

The UOEP territory is based around the areas overseen by the grand penguin
or the kumber, and places that are considered sacred to it(real life), and
places invented with the guidance of the kumber (made up). The kumber is a
spiritual being that is worshipped by many citizens, especially those of
happyland where the earthly manifestation of the kumber is situated on top
of the highest peak of the crackhead mountains. This is an important part
of UOEP culture[ which there are hymns for - possible link in future).

The Koo Kumber Community and packwoodist penguinism is also tied in, to a small extent, with UOEP
culture, as many citizens are part of it. It originally started similar to
kumberism (kumber worship), but more recently it has become a philosophical
discussion group, where members talk about the principles of uncertanty and
material realism. For more information, see the zab wabbit forum, or click
on this link (http://toasterlessons.110mb.com/Kookk/pg1.htm - may not have been updated for long time and may have lots missing).
Packwoodist penguinism formed as a branch of the KKC, and is back to worhsiping the kumber and pengun
in a different way to before- ( This video may help explain : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e6OQkz5vAKk)

All of the citizens of the UOEP are advised to be happy (or at least cont-
ent). Quite often, the HSS can be asked to interfere with citizens that are
depressed or unappy; and depending on the situation, they can be cheered up
or have the shitake mushrooms beaten out of them (the latter is very rare and usualy requires easons other than unhappyness). The unions main priority is citizen happiness, the extermination of citizen harrassers, and keeping
territory secure. Some may say that it is spreading the Wuv, the word of the Penguin
and to help lead the world into a new reveloution.

UOEP culture does not tolerate obnoxious behaviour towards its citizens, so
therefore anyone seen trying to act 'hard' in UOEP territory or seen intim-
idating citizens shall be dealt with immediateley, as with people who try
to claim UOEP territory for themselves and/or invade it. The UOEP are by
nature peaceful but will use violence if they feel threatened or annoyed.

Wabbits

Bunny rabbits are a highly regarded animal in the UOEP, they are fluffy and cute and often amusing.
Almost every citizen Wuvs the wabbits, you are often considered strange if you don't like them,
Hate and aggresion displayed towards wabbits [species or individual wabbits] is not usualy tolerated,
In fact there has been recent concerns that a UOEP male played a rabbit killing game in front of 3 citizens
and the flumber himself! At the moment nothing is being done, but the IIS are keeping a close eye on him,
he may also have trouble finding a good position in the government for a while.

Many people have been trying to get wabbits to come into UOEP territory, so far the closest we have got is a
wabbit running past the slightly enchanted forest.
Many pictures of wabbits are saved on UOEP hard drives, a wabbit gallery is a likely possibility.

Lemons

The national fruit, no lemons are grown on UOEP soil at the moment, but we are hoping to grow them in the near future.
Lemons are adored, not as much as Wabbits, lemons are often brought in and imported for a sour feast, in which everyone gets a bite. Often a slice is put at the bottom of the kumber for the Grand penguin, and remains are left around in the hope that it will help fertilize the ground.

Dasies

Dasies are fairly common in happyland, and have become part of UOEPian activity, they are not allowed to be picked much until april 9th[daisy day].

People pick them because they are pretty, they are part of Happylands natural beauty. Sometimes people put them in their hair or attach them to their cloths, often making daisy chains or including them in ceremonies.

Wolves

Wolves, like rabbits, would be a protected species in the UOEP if it were not for the fact that we don't have any.

Not as many people like wolves as they do wabbits in the UOEP, however, they are still highly regarded. Compared to wabbits, not as many people are trying to get wolves to live in the UOEP either [probably since our land could not support wolves at the moment]

Where wildlife is concerned, wolves are top of the food chain.

Buttons

Buttons are an important part of Yopeian culture. They are some of the only inanimate
objects that are permanently allowed to become citizens of the union. Their significance is
that they once played an important part in forming the union and freeing the pond around
boffle island from the trout mafia. They are also an official ethnic group in the union,
and many serve important duties in the HSS usually as rank 13 - 15.
